Title: Reorganization of Title 30--Renewable Energy and Alternative Uses of Existing Facilities on the Outer Continental Shelf | |
Abstract:
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) are developing direct final regulations for BSEE's new 30 CFR part 285 and BOEM's existing part 585, titled "Renewable Energy and Alternative Uses of Existing Facilities on the Outer Continental Shelf." This direct final rule will set out the authority of each of the two bureaus, BSEE and BOEM. This rule pertains solely to organizational changes necessitated for the division of existing part 585 into two parts, 285 (BSEE) and 585 (BOEM). In future proposed rules, BOEM and BSEE will address more substantive changes to the regulations. |
