Title: Fatigue Risk Management Program
Abstract:

This rulemaking would amend 49 CFR parts 270 and 271 to require railroads subject to those parts to establish and implement a Fatigue Risk Management Program (FRMP), as part of each System Safety Program or Risk Reduction Program. This rulemaking would also require railroads to establish and update, at least once every two years, a written Fatigue Risk Management Program plan (FRMP plan), which would either be a component of a railroad's System Safety Program plan or a railroad's Risk Reduction Program plan, as applicable.
