Title: Extension of Presumption of an Insurable Interest on Opposite-Sex Domestic Partners | |
Abstract:
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is proposing to amend 5 CFR 831.613 and 5 CFR 842.605 to extend the presumption of an insurable interest to opposite-sex domestic partners, and to remove the requirement that domestic partners meet certain criteria to prove the existence of a domestic partnership before receiving the presumption that an insurable interest exists. |
