Title: Federal Mercury Aquatic-Dependent Wildlife Criteria Applicable to California | |
Abstract:
The EPA is proposing aquatic-dependent wildlife criteria applicable to waters under the state of California's jurisdiction to protect aquatic-dependent wildlife from exposure to mercury. The EPA's proposal takes into account applicable EPA policies, guidance, and legal requirements. Consistent with the 2014 consent decree, if EPA approves California’s recently adopted mercury criteria by June 30, 2017, the proposed rule will no longer be necessary and EPA would not move forward with the proposal. |
