Abstract:
This rulemaking would include side impact performance requirements, a side impact test procedure, and the use of a new side impact dummy in FMVSS No. 213, Child restraint systems,” to evaluate the performance of child restraint systems in side impacts. It is estimated that the costs and benefits of this rulemaking will be minimal.
