Title: Revise and Streamline VA Acquisition Regulation to Adhere to Federal Acquisition Regulation Principles (VAAR Case 2014-V002, Parts 816 and 828) 
Abstract:

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposed to amend and update its VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) in phased increments to revise or remove any policy superseded by changes in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), to remove procedural guidance internal to VA, and to incorporate any new regulations or policies. This rule proposed to revise VAAR parts 816 and 828, as well as affected part 852.  The final rule will address public comments received in response to the proposed rule.
