Abstract:
The Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) is proposing to revise the fee structure for sampling, inspection, weighing, and certification of rice performed by GIPSA under the AMA. The AMA authorizes GIPSA’s Federal Grain Inspection Service to charge and collect reasonable fees to cover the costs of performing official services, and the costs of managing the program. Given current data, this action is expected to decrease fees by approximately five percent for fiscal year 2018. Additionally, GIPSA plans to proposing removing the fee tables from the Code of Federal Regulations. |
