Title: Contractor Personnel Supporting U.S. Armed Forces Deployed Outside the United States (DFARS Case 2016-D021)
Abstract:

DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to update the clause at DFARS 252.225-7040, Contractor Personnel Supporting U.S. Armed Forces Deployed Outside the United States, in order to update requirements for contractor personnel accompanying the U.S. Armed Forces outside the U.S. and address all Combatant Commander requirements for accurate, real-time contractor accountability information.  This rule will ensure proper protection of U.S. and Coalition forces, as appropriate, in contingency operations; humanitarian or peacekeeping operations; other peace operations, consistent with Joint Publication 3-07.3; and other military operations or exercises, when designated by the combatant commander.   It will also ensure combatant commanders have adequate accountability of contractor personnel operating in their areas of responsibility.  This rule may increase costs for contractors performing in the covered operational areas.
