DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to update and clarify exceptions to the use of Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) for electronic submission and processing of payment requests and receiving reports.  The rule will amend the DFARS to reflect the current exceptions to WAWF, which include classified contracts, contractor inability to create an electronic invoice for reasons beyond its reasonable control (or because the creation of an electronic invoice is unduly burdensome), or when DoD is unable to receive a payment request or provide acceptance in electronic form.  The proposed rule also updates DFARS appendix F and removes obsolete language from DFARS 246.370 and its related clause at DFARS 252.246-7000, Material Inspection and Receiving Report.
