Title: Department of Defense Personnel Security Program (PSP)
Abstract:

This part updates policies and responsibilities for the DoD Personnel Security Program (PSP) in accordance with the provisions of current U.S. Code, Public Laws, and Executive Orders. This part establishes policy and assigns responsibilities related to the operation of the DoD PSP, including investigative and adjudicative policy for determining eligibility to hold a national security position.

The Department will repeal this part as the codified rule does not impose obligations on members of the public that are not already imposed by statute.  The part paraphrases and summarizes relevant sources of law and does not substantively deviate from them.

Cost savings have not been identified.
