Title: Policy on Technical Surveillance Countermeasures | |
Abstract:
This part contains procedures for the assessment of facilities or categories of facilities that are probable and feasible targets for technical surveillance or exploitation based on the facility technical threat analysis. These procedures are internal to the DoD. It was originally determined that part was required based on the portion of the part that speaks to providing assistance to non-DoD agencies. However, this part places no burden on other agencies, and the description of the relationship with other agencies is in accordance with federal law. Therefore, DoD has determined that this part is not necessary and it will be repealed. DoD internal guidance concerning the policy on technical surveillance countermeasures will continue to be published in DoD Instruction 5240.05 available at http://www.esd.whs.mil/Portals/54/Documents/DD/issuances/dodi/524005_2014.pdf. Cost savings have not been identified. |
