Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Reclassifying the Running Buffalo Clover From Endangered to Threatened | |
Abstract:
Running buffalo clover (Trifolium stoloniferum) is listed on the List of Endangered and Threatened Plants as an endangered species. However, the number of known populations of running buffalo clover has greatly increased, from a single known population at the time the species was listed in 1987, to more than 100 populations today. Based on status reviews conducted in 2008 and 2011, we concluded that the downlisting criteria outlined in the recovery plan has been achieved. Accordingly, we are proposing to downlist the species from endangered to threatened status. |
