Title: Schedule of Fees for Consular Services, Department of State and Overseas Embassies and Consulates--Passport and Documentary Services Fee Changes
Abstract:

This rule proposes an adjustment to the Schedule of Fees for Consular Services to increase the execution fee for passport books and cards. The Department of State is making these changes in light of the most recent annual update to the Cost of Service Model, which found that the U.S. Government is not fully covering its costs for providing these services under the current fee structure. The primary objective of the adjustments to the Schedule of Fees is to ensure that fees for consular services reflect costs to the U.S. government of providing the services.
