Title: ●Rules of Practice and Procedure; Rules of Practice and Procedure in Adjudicatory Proceedings; Civil Money Penalty Inflation Adjustments  
Abstract:

On January 27, 2017, the OCC amended its rules of practice and procedure for national banks and its rules of practice and procedure in adjudicatory proceedings for Federal savings associations to adjust the maximum amount of each civil money penalty within its jurisdiction to administer to account for inflation. These actions implemented the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990, as amended by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015. Under the rules, future inflation adjustments to OCC's CMPs will be published as a notice in the Federal Register.  Accordingly, in 2018 the OCC plans to issue a final rule which will delete the obsolete CMP charts in parts 19 and 109 and make other conforming changes.
