Title: Federal Numeric Nutrient Criteria Applicable to Missouri Lakes
Abstract: The EPA is proposing nutrient criteria water quality standards for lakes in Missouri to address EPA's 2011 disapproval of Missouri's nutrient criteria. EPA is under a consent decree to either take CWA section 303(c) action to approve water quality standards adopted by Missouri that address EPA's 2011 disapproval or to propose water quality standards by December 15, 2017. The consent decree also requires EPA to sign a final rule by December 15, 2018, if water quality standards to address the EPA’s 2011 disapproval have not yet been submitted by Missouri and approved by EPA.
