Title: ●Hazardous Materials: Response to an Industry Petition to Reduce Regulatory Burden for Cylinder Requalification Requirements (RRTF) | |
Abstract:
In this rulemaking action, PHMSA will amend the requalification intervals for certain DOT specification cylinders used in non-corrosive gas service in response to a petition for rulemaking (P-1696) submitted by The National Propane Gas Association. This rulemaking action will provide regulatory relief and cost savings to industry; specifically, a reduction in the requalification costs and associated costs for personnel training. Finally, PHMSA is publishing this rulemaking action to reduce regulatory burden, simplify compliance, and provide greater overall flexibility when requalifying these specific cylinders. |
