Title: Catastrophic Health Emergency Fund (CHEF) | |
Abstract:
This final rule would implement section 202(d) of the IHCIA by amending the IHS CHEF and revising the threshold cost for reimbursement of the cost of treatment using purchased/referred care funds formerly known as contract health services to an IHS or Tribally managed facility. The law also describes an annual increase in the threshold that is based on the increase in the medical care expenditure category of the Consumer Price Index for all consumers for the 12-month period ending with December of the previous year. |
