Title: ●Amendments to National Oil & Natural Gas Federal Implementation Plan to Ensure Streamlined Authorizations to Construct for Oil & Natural Gas Sources on Uintah & Ouray Indian Reservation | |
Abstract:
The action proposes to apply the National O&NG Federal Implementation Plan (O&NG FIP) to the Indian country portion of the Uinta Basin (the Uintah and Ouray Reservation (U&O Reservation)), which includes its streamlined mechanism for authorizing construction, when EPA designates the area nonattainment. Without this action, the O&NG FIP's mechanism for authorizing construction will no longer be available on the U&O Reservation. In a separate action developed by the EPA Region 8 Office, EPA is addressing oil and natural gas emissions from existing sources that are impairing the Uinta Basin's air quality. |
