Title: NOP; Proposed Amendments to the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances for October 2017 Recommendations (Livestock and Handling) | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would make two changes to the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List) based on recommendations from the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB). The National List is a list of substances that can be used in organic farming, handling and processing. This action would: (1) add one substance (sulfur) to be allowed in organic livestock production, and (2) change one substance (potassium acid tartrate) already on the National List by reclassifying it as an agricultural substance. |
