Title: ●Retired Serviceman's Family Protection Plan | |
Abstract:
This final rule will remove the DoD regulation on the Retired Serviceman's Family Protection Plan which seved to permit each member of the uniformed services to elect to receive a reduced amount of any retired pay, which may be awarded as a result of service in a uniformed service, in order to provide an annuity payable after death (while entitled to retired pay) to a widow, child, or children, subject to certain limitations specified in the law and elaborated on in this part. The only remaining relevant portion of the legacy part directs annuitants to apply for benefits by completing forms. This collection of information is tied to statute, and thus does not require an associated CFR part. |
