Abstract:

The Department of Health and Human Services plans to update its regulations, including Part 87, Equal Treatment for Faith-based Organizations, to comply with current law regarding protections for religious organizations, as set forth in, and consistent with, recent Supreme Court decisions, Executive Order 13798 of May 4, 2017, Executive Order 13831 of May 3, 2018, and the Attorney General’s October 6, 2017 Memorandum on Federal Law Protections for Religious Liberty.
