Title: Claims for Compensation Under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, as Amended
Abstract:

On November 18, 2015, the Department of Labor published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that contained suggested revisions to the regulations that govern how the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP) administers the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, as amended (EEOICPA), 42 U.S.C. 7384 et seq.  In its NPRM, the Department proposed amending certain of the existing regulations to conform them to current administrative practice, to bring further clarity to the regulatory description of the existing claims adjudication process and to improve administration of the Act by putting in place controls to better manage the provision of medical supplies and services to beneficiaries.  The Department is in the process of analyzing the comments received and developing a final rule.
