Abstract:
This action proposes to update 49 CFR part 555, Temporary Exemption from Motor Vehicle Safety and Bumper Standards. NHTSA seeks to make the temporary exemption process more streamlined and efficient to accommodate the introduction of innovative technologies. NHTSA seeks comment on strategies to update the temporary exemption process.
