The Bureau’s prepaid accounts rule, which becomes effective April 1, 2019, requires prepaid card issuers to provide to the Bureau currently effective prepaid account agreements, to provide any amendments or withdrawals to the Bureau within 30 days of the change, and certain other related information. The Bureau will publish in the Federal Register technical specifications prescribing the form and manner in which issuers are to submit prepaid agreements, any amendments or withdrawals thereof, and related information to the Bureau pursuant to the requirements in the prepaid accounts rule.
