Title: ●Procedures for Implementing the National Environmental Policy Act 
Abstract:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer's National Environmental Policy Act regulations in 33 CFR 230.9 contain a list of USACE actions that do not require an environmental impact statement or an environmental assessment (unless there is an extraordinary circumstance). This list of NEPA categorical exclusions has not been updated since its inception in 1988. Updates would include the addition of actions that can be considered as categorical exclusions. This modification supports a recommendation of the DoD Regulatory Reform Task Force.
