DHS/TSA RIN: 1652-AA71 Publication ID: Spring 2019
Title: Privacy Act of 1974: System of Records; DHS/TSA-024 Use of Department of State Passport and Visa Records
Abstract:

TSA is establishing this new System of Records Notice (SORN) to inform the public of the collection, maintenance, dissemination, and use of Department of State (DoS) records on individuals who have applied for a U.S. Passport, immigrant visa, non-immigrant visa, or other travel document issued by DoS. TSA will maintain a synchronized copy of the DoS records to automate and simplify the transmission of information in DoS databases to TSA. The Department proposes to exempt portions of the system of records from one or more provisions of the Privacy Act because of criminal, civil, and administrative enforcement requirements.
