Title: Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products: Test Procedures for Plumbing Products
Abstract:

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is considering updating the test procedures in title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 430 (10 CFR 430) for plumbing products:  water closets and urinals.  Presently, 10 CFR 430 incorporates by reference the American Society of Mechanical Engineers/American National Standards Institute (ASME/ANSI) Standard A112.19.2-2008 test procedure for water closets and urinals.  Since that time, ASME amended Standard A112.19.2 to the 2013 version, and issued Update 1 to the 2013 version in October 2013.  The Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975, as amended, (EPCA) requires DOE to amend 10 CFR 430 to conform to the revised ASME/ANSI Standard A112.19.2 if the test procedure requirements of ASME A112.19.2 are amended, or at least once every 7 years.
