Title: ●Withdrawal of Certain Federal Water Quality Criteria Applicable to Washington | |
Abstract:
On November 15, 2016, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved 45 human health criteria submitted by the State of Washington and issued a final rule that revised 144 additional human health criteria applicable to Washington's waters. EPA's final rule took effect on December 28, 2016. In response to an industry petition, the EPA is considering proposing to reverse its disapproval of some or all human health criteria submitted by Washington and withdraw its previous rulemaking relating to those criteria. |
