Title: Authorizing Electronic Payments of Civil Monetary Penalties | |
Abstract:
Civil Monetary Penalties (CMPs) are assessed for violations of statutes and regulations administered by the Wage and Hour Division. Current regulatory text requires the person assessed such a CMP to remit the payment by "certified check or money order". In recognition of the modernization of pay practices, the Department will revise the regulations to allow for electronic payment alternatives. |
