Title: Family Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance, Stillborn Child  
Abstract:

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) amends its regulations that govern the Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (SGLI) program by amending the definition of a stillborn child. While the current definition is based on the weight of the stillborn child and only considers the gestation period if the weight of the child is unknown, VA amends the definition of a stillborn child to provide that either the weight or the gestation period may be relied upon to satisfy the definition.
