Title: Gas Appliance Carbon Monoxide Sensors | |
Abstract:
Staff has continued to conduct research and work with voluntary standards organizations. Staff will continue to investigate sensing technology to automatically adjust or shut off major natural-gas appliances such as furnaces and boilers in response to abnormal operating levels of carbon monoxide in their combustion products and will share its findings with the ANSI Z21 voluntary standards for these products. Staff is developing a briefing package for the Commission for an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in FY 19. |
