DOE/EE RIN: 1904-AE38 Publication ID: Spring 2020
Title: Test Procedure and Labeling Requirements for Dedicated-Purpose Pool Pump Motors
Abstract:

On September 11, 2018, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) published a notification of petition from a variety of entities (collectively, the Joint Stakeholders or the Petitioners) asking DOE to issue a direct final rule for energy conservation standards for dedicated-purpose pool pump (DPPP) motors. On February 5, 2019, the petitioners amended their petition to request that DOE issue a direct final rule establishing labeling requirements for DPPP motors instead of energy conservation standards. Based on the review of public comments and data received in response to this petition, DOE will respond to that petition by issuing a notice of proposed rulemaking. This RIN was previously reported as "Energy Conservation Standards for Dedicated-Purpose Pool Pump Motors" in the 2019 Fall Unified Agenda. This RIN has been renamed for the Spring Agenda to reflect the current direction of this rule in response to stakeholder comment.
