Title: Month-of-Death Payments and Income Exclusion for Property Loss Reimbursement | |
Abstract:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend its adjudication regulations regarding month-of-death payments and pension income exclusions in order to incorporate two sections of the Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act of 2012. The proposed regulations would clarify entitlement and payment provisions for the month-of-death benefit consistent with the statutory changes and clarify the scope of the exclusion from income for property loss reimbursement. |
