Title: ●Internal Processes to Implement the Religious Freedom Restoration Act | |
Abstract:
The rule sets forth internal HHS processes by which the Department will ensure that it and each of its components are complying with Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). The rule specifies that OCR, through its Conscience and Religious Freedom Division, would ensure and coordinate Department-wide compliance with RFRA under the procedures set forth in the rule. The rule requires Departmental components to consider and apply RFRA, in consultation with OCR, concerning the array of Departmental activities that RFRA governs, such as (as mentioned by the Attorney General) rulemaking, enforcement actions, and grant and contract distribution and administration. |
