The position title description for Director, Loan Guaranty Service was revised to Executive Director, Loan Guaranty Service. Also, VA eliminated the position title of Deputy Under Secretary for Economic Opportunity. These actions caused a lack of consistency within existing regulations. To reflect these position title changes, VA required a non-substantive update to existing regulations. This final rule proposes to amend VA regulations to reflect this nomenclature change in the new title for the Executive Director, LGY Service position, and eliminate the position title Deputy Under Secretary for Economic Opportunity, thereby ensuring cohesion within the regulations.
