Title: ●Protection of Migratory Birds; Definitions and Authorizations | |
Abstract:
This rule proposes to amend FWS regulations by providing definitions to terms used in the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, as amended (MBTA). This proposed rule would clarify that the MBTA’s prohibitions on taking and killing migratory birds includes foreseeable, direct taking and killing that is incidental to other activities. The rule would also propose to establish authorizations for compliance with MBTA prohibitions. |
