Title: Policies and Procedures for the Protection of Proprietary Information Proposed for Release to Foreign Governments | |
Abstract:
This final rule will remove Department of the Navy (DON) rule 32 CFR part 744 concerning policies and procedures for the protection of proprietary information proposed for release to Foreign Governments, which was last revised on May 29, 1979 (44 FR 30685) because it is duplicative of content in the Department of Defense rule at 32 CFR part 264, "International Interchange of Patent Rights and Technical Information." The DON rule provides guidance to DON entities on the same delegation of authority captured in 32 CFR part 264.4 "Policy." It does not add or subtract requirements beyond those already established. |
