Title: Revision of Existing Regulations Pertaining to Fossil Fuel Leases and Leasing Process 43 CFR Parts 3100 and 3400 | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would revise the BLM’s fossil fuel regulations to update the fees, rents, royalties, and bonding requirements related to oil and gas leasing, development, and production. Per Executive Order 14008, Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad, the proposed rule would update the BLM’s process for leasing to ensure the protection and proper stewardship of the public lands, including potential climate and other impacts associated with fossil fuel activities. |
