Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Determination and Critical Habitat Designation for the Central Texas Mussels | |
Abstract:
This final rule will make a determination on our proposal to list the false spike (Fusconaia mitchelli), Texas fatmucket (Lampsilis bracteata), Texas pimpleback (Cyclonaias petrina), Guadalupe orb (Cyclonaias necki), and Guadalupe fatmucket (Lampsilis bergmanni) as endangered species, and the Texas fawnsfoot (Truncilla macrodon) as a threatened species with a 4(d) rule, under the Endangered Species Act. These six mussel species are found in central Texas. The Texas fatmucket, Texas fawnsfoot, and Texas pimpleback are currently candidates for listing. The FWS will also make a final critical habitat designation for all six mussel species. |
