Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Critical Habitat Designation for the Big Sandy and Guyandotte River Crayfishes
Abstract:

This final rule will make a determination on our proposal to designate critical habitat for the Big Sandy crayfish (Cambarus callainus) and Guyandotte River crayfish (Cambarus veteranus) under the Endangered Species Act. The Big Sandy crayfish is found in Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia, and is listed as threatened. The Guyandotte River crayfish is found in West Virginia and is listed as endangered. If FWS finalizes this rule as proposed, it would extend the Act’s protections to these species' critical habitats as described in the proposed rule.
