Title: Energy Efficiency Standards for the Design and Construction of New Federal Low-Rise Residential Buildings
Abstract:

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is working on a final rule to implement provisions in the Energy Conservation and Production Act (ECPA) that require DOE to update the baseline Federal energy efficiency performance standards for the construction of new Federal low-rise residential buildings.  This rule would update the baseline Federal residential standard to the International Code Council's (ICC) 2021 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). A notice of proposed rulemaking is not required for this rule because it is a rule pertaining to public property.
