Title: Driver Qualifications; Revising the Vision Standard
Abstract: As part of the Agency's ongoing regulatory reform efforts, FMCSA proposes to reduce the burden on monocular vision individuals seeking to operate CMVs in interstate commerce, as well as the motor carriers who employ them, by revising the current physical qualification standards related to vision. Additionally, this action expects to save the Agency administrative costs associated with processing the paperwork associated with an existing agency exemption program.
