Title: Updates to the National Service Trust Regulations | |
Abstract:
The update to the National Service Trust regulations will define and explain what it means to be "unavoidably prevented” for the purpose of granting extensions to the maximum period of use of an Education Award and will establish that generally, no more than one such extension will be granted. The update will also set forth the requirements for the timely submission of a payment voucher, clarify the process for appealing the denial of a request for an extension of the Education Award use period, and define "state agency" for the purpose of making payments on qualified student loans. |
