Abstract:

GSA is amending the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) to allow for the reimbursement of rental car fees for a certain number of days when the OCONUS shipment of a personally owned vehicle is delayed in arriving at the new duty station, to allow for the payment of both a collision damage waiver and theft insurance on automobile rentals OCONUS, to clarify that rental cars may be used for the same purposes as a government owned vehicle, and to change the term gas” and gasoline” to "fuel," where appropriate, to acknowledge the use of alternative vehicles energy sources.
