Title: Substantial Violations List | |
Abstract:
The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC or Commission) is considering amending the list of substantial violations located at 25 CFR 573.4 to include violations of IGRA’s restrictions on the use of net gaming revenue. The Chairman may issue an order of temporary closure for all, or part of an Indian gaming operation that is found to have one or more substantial violation. The finding of a substantial violation authorizes the Chairman to exercise stricter remedies to ensure compliance with rule and statute, which protects the integrity of the Indian gaming industry by ensuring compliance with applicable law and regulations. |
