Title: Appeals to Commission | |
Abstract:
The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC or Commission) is considering updating the appellate procedures that apply after the Chairman issues a notice of violation. This rulemaking contemplates an expedited proceeding, allowing the Commission to render a decision in less time and earlier than the current language allows. In addition, the rule further clarifies the authority of the Commission to accept a settlement agreement duly-entered into by the parties after the appeal of a notice of violation and articulates the parameters for the Commission’s power to accept the same. |
