Title: Alignment of Licensing Processes and Lessons Learned From New Reactor Licensing [NRC-2009-0196] | |
Abstract:
This rulemaking would amend the NRC's regulations for the licensing of new reactors. The rule would align requirements between the two licensing processes provided in the NRC’s regulations to ensure that all new reactor applications conform to the NRC's policies and requirements, regardless of the selected licensing approach. The rule would address lessons learned from NRC reviews conducted for combined licenses, design certifications, early site permits, and operating licenses.
