Title: Updates on the Export of Deuterium [NRC-2014-0201]
Abstract:

This rulemaking would amend the NRC's regulations to revise the requirements for the export of nuclear material, specifically deuterium and deuterated products.  The rule would provide updates and clarifications to export regulations based on recent industrial experience and technological changes. This rulemaking would update the export licensing provisions to reflect technological changes involving non-nuclear industrial and research uses of deuterium and deuterated compounds. This is a foreign policy action of the United States and meets the good cause exception under the Administrative Procedures Act.
