Title: Mortgage Servicing (Regulation X) 
Abstract:

In January 2013, the Bureau issued final mortgage servicing rules implementing numerous provisions of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and the Truth in Lending Act, as amended by title XIV of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.  The Bureau has since made various corrections, clarifications, and other amendments to the January 2013 rules. The Bureau is considering whether to propose amendments to the servicing rules, including, for example, loss mitigation-related provisions, to address actions required of servicers working with borrowers affected by natural disasters or other emergencies.
