Title: Amendment of Procedural Requirements for Food Additive Petitions | |
Abstract:
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to amend sections of our food additive and food additive petition (FAPs) regulations to modernize the procedural requirements related to the data requirements, submission procedures, review process, and regulatory timeframes for FAPs. FDA is proposing to revise the regulations to provide additional transparency, streamline current procedures, ease regulatory burden, and modernize the regulations. The proposed rule, if finalized, would improve regulatory efficiencies by implementing petition data requirements that are specific to the requested action. |
